Beauty and Beast
Fall, what an appropriate name. I love the colors it brings, the smell in the air, the feeling of the change of the season. Anticipation of the holidays right around the corner.
But then there's the other side. The triggers, the beast. With the change comes a higher level of chronic migraine. Weather is a major trigger for me. I have got to make sure I have all my comfort items together.
My fav throw, my little pillow, my bed buddy mask, Dramamine for nausea, crackers, and most of all, put away any guilt ahead of time. Guilt? Yes. For anything I may miss during the holidays.
In my ideal world, I will be able to go to any holiday event. But if the migraine pain makes it so I cannot, I will not add guilt.
I look to the new season with hope and prepare myself for what reality might be.
