"Life" with Chronic Migraine
May 13th 2009 00:46
The pain depletes you. Migraine plays with your brain. It can make you forget things. You can believe you've done something, I swear I put the dishes away. I know I just took care of that.
It makes your spell wrong. Your words can be in the wrong order, speaking or writing. Simple words escape you.
You find yourself lost in jumbled thoughts. You can't focus on one thing, your mind races, or it pauses. You can go blank.
You get tired. You just want to sleep. You get mad, you don't know why. You get sad, depressed. Or may have a burst of energy.
It is tiring. Between all that, and the pain, you're worn out.
Others around you are confused. Why are you tired? Why do you look tired? Why do you not sound like yourself on the phone?
Why, why, why.... there is no answer. No real answer. As migraine is so often scoffed at..made trivial, take a pill and chill.
If only that were the answer
