Lights, Migraine Pain!!

My head,shut the lights off!!
I can't stand bright lights. I can't stand flickering lights in the stores. Sometimes I can't even be in the light. It can cause such sharp,stabbing pain in my head,face,jaws to the point where I have to go to bed,hide in the dark.
I have had times recently where it's taken about twice as long to clear up. It has scared me,thinking it wasn't going to clear up at all.
After the aura, my pain level goes up. Nothing I take will help. Usually I crawl into bed. Some other things that can set this off is watching tv. The way something is filmed can trigger it.
I do not want to go to the ER as I am "mistreated" there. As a woman, they think I'm dramatic. They may think I'm a drug seeker. They may think I'm seeking attention. Yeah right...or if could be and I was told this when I went to the ER about an injury to my arm,that I couldn't be treated properly due to no insurance.
So many in the medical community need to be educated about migraine DISEASE. There are blogs by ER doctors and nurses that call migraineurs all sorts of names. They say we migraineurs need to wait until doctor office hours. How nice for them, I'd like to throw up on them during a severe attack.
