Migraine Information/Misinformation

I search online everyday for migraine information. I want to know if there's anything new to pass along. I like to check and see how information is being presented.
It is in a Manual Nurse and Health Information ( in Free Pdf Format)
There is one sentence that stands out, not only wrong, but can affect how both the medical pros and the patient act/react to migraine.
"Migraines, however, are treatable and preventable." NO,NO,NO. Wrong!! Migraine is a very complicated disease. It is a neurological disease. There can be preventative measures for some. There are some migraines that are treatable. But not all...and a migraineur may find that triggers can change. What may have been a trigger before,is no longer. And what may have never been a trigger, suddenly is one.
They may find a medicine that they could take at home(abortive) worked, then stopped. They may find a treatment at the ER worked and no longer does.
For migraineurs like myself,it has been a progressive disease. I had a span of over 4 years being home bound, not even being able to look out the window at the sunlight. Then for a short time,my pain level went down to where I felt almost normal. I hadn't driven in over a year. I wasn't able to attend family functions,go into a store. Then I was able to...it was so great.
In the past,I lived with fear of the next migraine attack. Some so severe I would go into convulsions.I had to learn to keep(still do) Dramamine on hand.I cannot start vomiting, the pain is so bad,I thought my head would explode, and once I started,I couldn't stop.
So,no,not all migraines are treatable and not all are preventable.
