Migraine Kit and items of comfort (LINK)

I have a favorite small soft blanket and small pillow.I can take these with me if I have to go to the Emergency Room.I keep crackers on hand for nausea. It may help me from going into a cycle of vomiting.
If cold helps, you may want to keep a couple of bags of peas in the freezer.Cheap, easy and can mold to where you may need it.A heating pad or there are products you can microwave that may help.
I keep motion sickness pills for nausea. These have helped me stop vomiting so I could get to the er.Of course,my little med bag with tripitan med is always there.
I have a mask for my eyes made from terry cloth that has velcro help me determine the tightness to my comfort. It is also microwavable for use on my forehead if I need it.
I have our bedroom painted a soft green color that I like.I keep very little on my walls.Too busy may be too much when I have a migraine and need to be in there.I have a sound machine.I need quiet when I'm in a high level of pain, but too quiet, and I hear the ringing in my head.
Lights off in the bedroom for me when needed. And darker curtains for daytime. It's important to have a comfortable place to go when you need it.Either to prevent migraine or during an attack.
My cell phone is always on me.If I'm home alone and a migraine attack hits,I may need to call for help.If I'm laying down and need help,I call rather than yell for help.
I have my dr's phone number programmed on my cell phone.I will soon have a bracelet that says I get migraines. This is because I have fainted many times and sometimes gone into convulsions. So the bracelet will speak for me when I cannot.
These are small things I have learned over the years.Maybe passing them along will help someone.
