Panic Attack
September 9th 2010 16:29
I'm having a major panic attack today. The first one I had sent me to the er by ambulance. I think they believed in the er that I was having a breakdown. They gave me two shots of valium on the way,and another when I got to the er.
It's been awhile since I've had it this bad. I am going to try to get out of the house and relax. It's very hard, because you feel such fear it's hard to move. It's hard to breathe. And it's really hard to act like you're ok.
I will work through this...I do take klonopin daily. I am decreasing it and going to be off it soon. I am taking the time to relax, without the guilt. Fixing up the guest room as a place where I can go to just be...I was given a small fountain and got myself another one. Even if it's just 5 or 10 minutes a day,it can make a world of difference.
My panic attacks were later said to be part of a thyroid condition I was diagnosed with...People don't realize how much of your mind and body your thyroid controls. I was blown away when I started researching it.Thousands of people are being treated for mental and emotional conditions, when it is their thyroid.
I never got my thyroid really under control, due to my insurance calling my thyroid condition(hashimoto's) pre-existing,which it was not. And putting much of my medical care under thyroid that was not.Didn't pay the dr's.
If you find you have panic attacks,do not take care them lightly.
